 Pastor Daniel Murphy, Senior Pastor
Pastor Dan has been part of the TBC family since childhood. Even at a
young age, Dan longed to know the Lord Jesus as revealed in the Scriptures. Many prayer conversations, necessary hardships, and encouragements from other believers at TBC has led him to where he is today. He has served at the church throughout the years as a volunteer, Children’s Pastor, Associate Pastor, and now as Senior Pastor since January 2024. In 2013, Dan graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Religion. A committee of godly men affirmed Dan’s call to the gospel ministry and ordained him in 2018. Dan lives, preaches, and teaches with the Word of God as his absolute authority and is passionate in discipling believers towards spiritual maturity. If he’s not in his office preparing for the ministries, chances are he is walking the streets of downtown South River praying and sharing Jesus Christ with the locals. Dan met his wife Katie in the TBC young adult group and married in March 2014. They have six children together. |
Pastor James Dynarski, Associate Pastor
Pastor Jimmy has faithfully served Tabernacle Baptist Church since 2008. Beginning as an assistant under previous youth pastors, he quickly discerned a calling toward evangelism and community engagement. While completing his Bachelor of Religion through Liberty University Online, he assumed leadership of the youth and young adult ministries, guiding the next generation with a strong emphasis on gospel-centered discipleship.
In 2013, Pastor Jimmy graduated from Liberty University and has received several certifications as a Biblical counselor. The following year, after a season of mentoring under Pastor Paul, he was ordained into pastoral ministry. Since that time, he has continued to serve with dedication and vision, strengthening both the fellowship of Tabernacle Baptist and the broader South River community. Pastor Jimmy and his wife, April, met while working in retail and began their relationship soon after he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. They were married at Tabernacle in 2006, and in 2011 the Lord blessed them with their daughter, Anya. Today, Pastor Jimmy preaches periodically on Sunday mornings, leads the Driven Student ministries, oversees The Heart of South River outreach initiative, and serves on the Elder Board and the Missions Committee. In addition, he provides oversight for all teaching and training within the church’s evangelism and outreach ministries, ensuring that these efforts remain biblically grounded, strategically organized, and faithfully carried out. His ministry is characterized by a deep love for people, unwavering commitment to biblical truth, and a passion to see lives transformed by the power of the gospel. |
Elder
Elder Roy McCartney
Texas born and raised, Roy has a God-filled backstory. He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy as a toddler and his parents were told he would never walk or graduate High School. He went on to not only do both but also began to grow in Christ after salvation at 11.
Through the grace of God, Roy went on to graduate from the College of Biblical Studies in 2011 with his Bachelors in Biblical Counseling. He and his wife, Susie, met in 2013 at TBC, married a year later. They have two children together, Abigail and Aslan. Roy currently serves on the Elder board, Cruisin' Kids ministry, Driven Teen ministry, and is the current Chairman of the Missions Committee. |

April Dynarski, Children's Director
"Miss April" has attended TBC since 2000 and volunteered in our children's ministries since 2003.
She has been called into full time ministry and serves the children of the church & community through Cruisin', Sunday School, and Children's Church ministries. Her favorite verse is Hebrews 12:14 |

Susie McCartney, IT Administrator
Susie began attending TBC originally in 2000 with her family. Having grown up in various churches, Susie came to the saving knowledge of Christ around age 6. She began serving in ministry as a teen including as a Sunday School teacher at age 16.
Administration is certainly one of the spiritual gifts that Susie has been blessed to receive. She serves in many different areas; Secretary of the Trustee Board, Secretary/Treasurer of the Missions Committee, Church Historian, Director of A/V, and IT Administration. |
